Oh, To Have A Backyard

Well, since the dogs DESTROYED our backyard it has been looking pretty sad.  They ate and tore out every single tree and bush we put in last summer.  Today Rob and the boys planted some much needed greenery!  And I was glad to have them outside for a while.  I think if backyards (and fences) didn't exist I would be a much different person... and not in a good way.

Jack Jack

Jackson has the cutest little personality.  Almost always happy and I love that he loves his blankie.  He will see his blankie on the floor somewhere and just run up and snuggle it and smile.  He makes me smile everyday.  I love seeing him grow everyday.  He makes me excited for every tomorrow to be today.

Parker

I'm not sure we have any photo's of Parker without something on his face.  Loves Lego's, playing house (backyardagins style), and coloring. He is the king of pretending around here.  We usually have to ask if he is Diego, Indiana Jones or some Star Wars guy and address him by name.  He can be one happy kid, but can you say bi-polar?  Between him and Riley we are in for an emotional train wreck in about 8- 10 years.

Riley

Well, unfortunately for Riley he is a little too much like me.  That means he (& I) have a looong road ahead of us... I can't wait until he's a teenager. (Yes mom, I know I deserve him.)  He's  VERY persistent, VERY emotional, but very loving, very sensitive, and can make you laugh or smile just by looking at you.

Rob

I think the thing I've noticed the most setting up this blog is that Rob and I are almost totally absent from the photo's.  And we are never in a photo if we aren't attached to a kid.  Not that Rob has time to pose for photos.  He's almost done with school (hallelujah!!!) He will finally be able to just come home after work... weird.

Cara

So, my OCD is really having a hard time not going from beginning to end, but since it would be impossible to go back to where it all began, we'll make it brief... I went to Hawaii on my mission, where, upon being released, I was assigned to be travel companions with Elder Simmons, AKA Rob.  We thought President must have been inspired because we were engaged 10 days later... and that's how it all began.  Now, 8 years, 8 moves, 10 cars, 2 houses, 7 dogs & 3 kids later, here we are.
